Chemotherapy, I has it but I don't think I wants it. Pls be sending David Tennant in an apron and nary else.
(Don't panic, it's lupus chemo, not cancer chemo. Is it too much to hope for the "less common and/or rare" side effect of weight loss?)

How often do you take it and for how long? L is basically on chemo, also. I feel for you. Call if you need to.
ReplyDeleteI only take it once a week, with my dose doubling in two weeks. I'll probably be on it for the rest of my life. Doing well, though there's a certain amount of wooziness and nausea that'll take time to go away. Once my dosage builds up, it might start killing off some cells, especially in my stomach. Methinks I'll be brewing up some ginger and fennel seed concentrate for use as tea. Should I make it a simple syrup with copious goodies, or just a straight concentrate?
ReplyDeleteI have no experience with syrups and stuff. Aedie, on LJ would probably know, though. He's a medieval cook. I wish you luck with the treatment. Is Marinol legal in OK? It would help a lot with the nausea.
ReplyDeleteDoes the chemo make things easier? What does it do for you?
ARGH! My reply from last night didn't post. I'll give you a call sometime next week. Got home from another hugely long day, a trip for more fabric, and a buzz by the store and Wendy's, and fell asleep. I'm getting more in a minute, so I don't want to type the whole thing out again. Blah.
ReplyDeleteGah. That sucks. Haven't been the best lately at checking in here, but I hope you start feeling better very soon!!!!!!
